Inspan launches 5 inch Mercury tablet in India
Is it a smart phone? Is it a tablet? IT's Mercury MagiQ!

Chennai, September 17, 2012: Mercury has shrunk the tablet to 5 inches – narrowing the gap that separates it from smart phones.
The Mercury MagiQ is a 5 inch dual SIM device that runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich platform on a IGHz chip with internal memory of 512MB, 4GB built-in storage with expandable 32GB and a capacitive multi touch panel.
The tablet supports 3G/Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for Web browsing, internet surfing, emails, chatting etc. It has Dual Camera with front camera for video chatting and a 12MP Rear camera. . It comes with battery backup for a standby up to 15 days and talk time up to 13hrs. Also included is a built-in FM radio, speaker phone and flash 10.0 online video. All this is packed in a mere 140gm.

A five inch tablet is not a very widely available form factor. Dell launched its tablet initiative two years ago, in the 5 inch size but without too much success. It remains to be seen if with the passage of time, this size has become more acceptable and whether buyers are prepared to pay extra for the reduction in size.
Mercury MagiQ is brought to India by Inspan Infotech, one of India’s largest distributors of motherboards and hardware components. Mercury magiQ is priced at Rs 12,700. It come with a warranty period of 1 year. www.inspaninfotech.com
