Intex  launches its first smart phone in India at an aggressive price

Bangalore,September 3, 2012: Well known Indian brand of mobile handsets and other lifestyle electronics products, Intex Technologies, has forayed in to the smart phone space -- remaining true to its mantra of aggressive pricing and value for money. The INTEX AQUA 4.0 costs Rs 5490, and seems to target students and young professionals.
The 3.5 inch screen capacitive touch phone runs on a 800 GHz processor, with 512MB of ROM. It comes with 131MB built-in storage, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The device also has a rear-facing 3MP camera and a front-facing 0.3MP camera.
 It is equipped with three sensors- Gravity, Light and Proximity sensors which allows the user to adjust brightness of the screen, detects and turns off the screen during calls etc.
Connectivity options include, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0, and 3G with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA & 5.76 Mbps HSUPA .
