Sony unveils new aggressively priced Xperia smartphone range

Bangalore, May 26, 2012 – Sony Mobile Communications has unveiled its new Xperia NXT smartphones in India, early products from a company that cut the umbilical with Ericsson last year. The Xperia U is designed for consumers who like to personalize their devices; in this case by changing the coloured bottom caps on the smartphone and seeing the illuminating transparent element changing color to match the color of the picture or theme on the phone screen. Key features as 3D surround sound, and 5MP camera, and HD video. ( Rs 17,399). Sony says this is the cheapest 1 GHz phone fuelled by a dual core chip in the market today.
The Xperia P, sibling to the recently launched Xperia S, incorporates Sony’s WhiteMagic  technology, which enables a clear display, even in bright sunlight. ( Rs 25,799)
Xperia Sola, is the smartphone with the floating touch, it responds to gestures made just above the screen. ( Rs 20,499). It comes with a 5 megapixel camera and HD recording.
All XPeria phones are offered with free 50 GB storage space on the cloud, said Prasun Kumar, Head Marketing, Sony Mobile Communication .
