Silvan unveils slate of video security products

Leading Internet Protocol Video Security and Home Automation Product Company Silvan Innovation Labs, has unveiled a slate of new products for the video surveillance and home automation markets. These include “Dhruv”, the first ever surveillance camera with self storage and built in battery backup; “Brahma”, a camera with a built in Network video recorder and “Shiv” a camera that sleeps till woken up to start recording, by its movement sensor. All these devices are to be formally launched at the Indian Fire and Security Exhibition (IFSEC India) in Mumbai, Novembere 23-25, India’s largest homeland security expo.
Headquartered in Bangalore, Silvan which has also unveiled a new “infinity” logo, plans to set up offices in New Delhi, Kolkata & Mumbai in the coming months, says CEO, M. Giridhar Krishna.
The company also offers a number of smart home and home security solutions under its SYNC brand which includes, video doorbells, smoke detectors, curtain motors, gas leak detectors, air conditioner controllers, panic buttons etc which include remote control options via mobile phone on Internet.
“We are on track to achieve a turnover of Rs 20 million in 2010-11 and based on the products that we will be delivering to the market in the next quarter; our revenues are expected touch Rs 120 million in 2011-12. We are also looking at bringing in investment of the order of Rs 100 million over the next year to grow our business, and expect to achieve revenues of half a billion rupees by the year 2014-15” says Dr Krishna
Avinash K Gautam, VP, Security and Automation Business adds “We have a 30-strong R&D team and will continue to build our R&D team in Bangalore, and look to setting up an Office in the US at the appropriate time”.
Since its incorporation in June 2008, Silvan has been developing key technology components for IP- based video surveillance and home automation systems, keeping in mind the Indian conditions and the needs of the Indian customer. Silvan has also deployed an IP based Video Surveillance System in several gas outlets of a large gas company in Delhi, a large factory in Bangalore, and several retail outlets. Nov 19 2010
