Epson's new SMB range unveiled

February20, '09; BANGALORE: Re-engineered print heads for near laser print quality; INKdividual cartridges that allow customers to replace individual colours and wireless printing with all except the cheapest printers are the features of Epson's latest slate of inkjet printers aimed at small and medium businesses in India.

The four models range from the Rs 5299 Epson Stylus T30 to the Rs 14,999 TX600FW and including ther Rs 6999 T40W and the Rs 6999 TX300F.

The new printers sport 360 nozzles per inch – twice the earlier number – which combined with Epson's Durabrite pigment ink enable instant dry and water resistant and archival features.

This week also saw the launch of two sheet fed scanners, GT S50 and S 80 priced Rs 29,999 and Rs 47,999 respectively.

According to Gartner, the 13.2 million small and medium biz sector in India spends 3 percent of its revenue on document printing.
