Voila! Smartesting's new
Smartesting Test Designer version 4 is now available

Independent French software provider and software testing industry leader , Smartesting (www.smartesting.com ), has announced India availability of  a  new version –- 4.0— of its flagship product, Test Designer.
While the core feature --automatic test generation based on models of the expected behaviours of the application being tested – is still the product’s strength, Version 4’s strength for its Indian users, might well be its smoother integration with the SAP ecosystem, as well as with other leading enterprise software solutions like HP Quality Centre and IBM’s Rational. “The ability to define strategies in a very easy way” has always been Test Designer’s most popular feature, explained Smartesting India’s Managing Director, Michel Guez, during a special briefing last week.

Test Designer 4.0 automates tasks once regarded as manual and allows users to experience unparalleled productivity and quality gains. New features include the ability to:

- Define a test strategy based on functional requirements and risks directly from test models (Model-based Testing).

- Generate tests on demand, including for execution in manual mode and on an incremental basis for greater agility.

- Adapt more quickly the test scripts produced in the test environment chosen for automatic execution (HP or IBM).

- manage more easily, changes in functional requirements: with just a simple update of the test model
This new version includes numerous improvements for modeling, which facilitate sharing and supports iterative methods as recommended by the Agile movement.

Created  in 2003 as the result of a spin-off of the IT laboratory of the Franche-Comté University, Smartesting is one of the world leaders of the software testing market Smartesting employs 30 people across its offices in Paris, Amsterdam, Bangalore (India) and in the headquarters, Besançon (France). Its SAP-friendly new features flowed from a partnership with leading European IT services player Atos Origin.
