EdX to offer IIT Bombay course on Signals & Systems

New Delhi,  December 17, 2014: IIT Bombay has launched its two-part course on Signals and Systems on the edX platform.
Signals and Systems, Part 1, an 8-week course, will start on January 15th, 2015 and will explore the various properties of signals and systems, characterization of Linear Shift Invariant Systems, convolution and Fourier Transform.
Signals and Systems, Part 2, an 8-week course, will start on April 2nd, 2015 and will deal with the Sampling theorem, Z-Transform, discrete Fourier transform and Laplace transform.
The course is taught by Prof. Vikram Gadre who has received his Ph. D in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi in 1994, and thereafter has been working at IIT Bombay. He is currently the head of Centre for Distance Engineering Education. His research areas are communication and signal processing. He has taught 16 courses like signals and systems, control systems. He received 'Excellence in Teaching' award from IIT Bombay in 1999, 2004, and 2009.
